Every piece offered by 31 Jewels Inc. is evaluated individually and presented as clearly and accurately as possible.
We believe good representation means showing both what makes a piece compelling and what a client should know before purchasing it.
From condition and service history to measurements, replacement components, and what is included, relevant details are disclosed plainly and without unnecessary embellishment.
CONDITION
Pre-owned, vintage, and estate jewelry and watches may show signs of previous ownership, age, service, restoration, or wear.
We describe material condition issues clearly and photograph them whenever they are relevant to the piece.
We do not believe age should be disguised, nor do we believe normal signs of wear should be overstated.
Our goal is to give clients an accurate understanding of the piece as it is today.
SERVICE, REPAIRS & REPLACEMENTS
When known to us, relevant service history, repairs, refinishing, restoration, and replacement components are disclosed.
If a watch has been serviced by the manufacturer, we identify that specifically.
If components have been replaced during service, we state that clearly and do not imply that those parts are original to the watch.
Manufacturer service materials are described as service materials and are not represented as original purchase documentation.
SIGNED & UNSIGNED PIECES
When a piece is signed, we identify the maker.
When a piece is unsigned, we say so.
An unsigned piece is never attributed to a particular designer or house without appropriate support.
We select unsigned vintage and estate jewelry on the strength of the piece itself: design, craftsmanship, materials, proportion, condition, and character.
MEASUREMENTS & FIT
Measurements, weights, bracelet lengths, wrist sizes, ring sizes, and other relevant dimensions are provided whenever practical.
Because many vintage and estate pieces have limited sizing options, we encourage clients to review measurements carefully before purchasing.
Measurements may be approximate where indicated.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
Boxes, papers, service records, pouches, additional links, certificates, and other accompanying materials are described specifically.
We distinguish original retail materials from later service, presentation, or replacement materials whenever known.
If an item is not included, we do not imply that it is.
REPRESENTATION
Our responsibility is not to make every piece appear perfect.
It is to represent each piece honestly, provide the details that matter, and allow clients to make informed decisions with confidence.
That standard applies whether the piece is signed by an important house, unsigned, recently serviced, heavily worn, or nearly untouched.
